About Hanwell Plumbing & Heating Ltd.

We are a licensed plumbing company in Peterborough, Ontario, which our founder, Robin Hanwell, opened for business in January of 2012. The history of plumbers in the Hanwell family actually goes back a hundred and twelve years to 1908 when Robin’s grandfather became a plumber.

His dad (Harry) followed suit in 1946, and most recently, Robin’s son Aaron joined the club, making him the fourth generation of Hanwell plumbers. A notable mention is that Robin’s brother Trevor was also a plumber, but his career got derailed by a disability robbing him of his eyesight.

We are known as a small family business that can do anything related to plumbing. Our services include clearing clogged sewers and drains, installing new plumbing, fixing leaks, replacing broken pipes/fixtures, and installing new sewer and water services in clients’ buildings.

We serve clients across the greater Peterborough area, which allows traveling to job sites that can be reached in sixty to ninety minutes. We operate from Monday to Friday morning to evening and also offer an emergency service round the clock as plumbing cannot tell time.

One aspect that makes us second to none is that we have six employees, each of whom is diligent and highly qualified, which includes being licensed backflow testers. Our crew’s experience allows us to tackle virtually any job from industrial to rural and commercial to residential as well.

What sets us apart from the rest of our competitors is that every attempt gets made to respond as rapidly as possible to a given request. We also avoid offering band-aid solutions to our customers’ problems as we realize that each job has unique circumstances.

While there is no shortage of resources available to consumers to try to learn how to DIY, We take the time to explain the best possible solutions to a given situation and offer options to allow customers to make educated decisions on how to protect their investment.

In this endeavor, we embrace new technology and never lose sight of the importance of old-fashioned quality and service. Being thorough is what helps our customers know that we care and has created word of mouth referrals.

It has helped us to grow and take a step closer towards our dream. Our future vision is to take on more staff to service customers better and progress from a fledgling firm into the go-to plumbing enterprise in our area that delivers remarkable results.

We also believe in giving back to society, and as part of that belief, provide monthly contributions to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. Besides, we support local sports teams and veterans’ causes whenever possible.
